By default, the API will now issue a challenge if the requested API call is restricted and the user is anonymous. The challenge tells the client to show a login box where appropriate credentials can be provided. If the anonymous user is allowed to access the feature, but the client which to provide explicit credentials (b/c it would reveal additional information), then any API uri can be followed by ?authenticate to always force a challenge. For example: http://localhost/@api/deki/pages/home/contents?authenticate [^] Will first ask for login credentials before the contents of the homepage are returned. |
